Welcome to the world of Oxyd. Investigate the unknown world of bits and bytes inside your computer. In the shape of a black marble you will wander through beautiful landscapes and explore the many objects and game elements encountered there.

But, this world is threatened: Overnight, the life-supporting Oxyds have closed up and they no longer emit vital oxygen. As a result, the digital world is threatened by suffocation and only you can save it. Your mission is to find all the Oxyds in a given landscape and to open them again. Two each of these Oxyds carry the same pattern or color and they must be touched in sequence in order to remain open. If it was only as simple as it sounds! Your task is complicated because the Oxyds are scattered over a wide area and they may not be easily accessible. Many of the objects you will encounter in this world have completely unknown effects and they interact with each other in a complex fashion. You will need courage, skill and a good deal of scientific curiosity to succeed. Oxyd�1 GE contains 100 single-player plus 100 completely different dual-player landscapes for you and a friend to enjoy via computer modem link (nullmodem, MIDI or AppleTalk�).
